From the parking lot to the river, we have always sought to make safety the number one priority at Forward Paddle. This summer will be no different as we implement additional measures in order to comply with COVID-19 safety guidelines. Measures will be in place as we welcome you to the lodge, transport you to and from the river, and while you’re in the raft – all to ensure that everyone returns home just as they arrive.
All staff will be screened each morning and will wear masks, face coverings, or face shields at all times. Masks, face coverings, or face shields are required on our guests during shuttling and, as of July 24th, on the river as well. We will follow social distancing at all times and limit the number of people in the lobby. All facilities will be sanitized according to state guidelines, with extra cleaning and care given to high contact areas. We encourage hand washing often.
For the safety of all guests and staff, any guest currently infected with COVID-19 or displaying symptoms is not allowed to enter the property. If you have an upcoming reservation and you are experiencing symptoms call us at 541-993-5786 and we will discuss rescheduling options with you. We are closely monitoring the updates and guidelines put out by state and county agencies and will update our policies as needed.
One of the ways that we are following the guidelines is by placing you and your group in your own raft. Only boaters who come to Forward Paddle together will be in a raft together. (Of course your guide will still be in the back, probably telling really bad jokes and half-true river stories).
This means that you will book a 4-person, 6-person, or 8-person raft. You can book more than one raft, and our morning half-day, afternoon half-day, and full-day trips are all available*.
